Cádiz
January, 25-26, 2024
For this 26 th Memorial Raymond Konopka, we are pleased to welcome Associate Professor Daniel Martinez from HEC Paris, as our plenary speaker.
The first Workshop on Accounting and Management Control was organized for the first time in Madrid in 1991 and from 1993 it was named Raymond Konopka in memory of the former professor of Instituto de Empresa. The 26th edition will be held the 25th and 26th of January, 2024 in Cádiz.
The workshop constitutes a discussion forum for researchers with an interest in the organizational and social aspects of accounting systems. A large number of researchers have widened the traditional limits of accounting to consider its impact on organizations and on society in general. This is why the workshop values the social implication of accounting as well as the interdisciplinarity of papers. Interdisciplinarity refers to strong relationships between accounting and other organizational fields (e.g. strategy, finance, marketing, HRM, CSR or R&D) as well as other fields, such as sociology, history or environmental studies.
This workshop has become a reference event to discuss high quality research papers in the wider field of management accounting and control. Papers presented at this workshop have been published in journals such as: Accounting, Organizations and Society; European Accounting Review; Organization Studies; Abacus; Accounting and Business Research; Journal of Management Accounting Research; Advances in Accounting; Management Accounting Research; Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, or Critical Perspectives on Accounting.
